The Rev Whitney Burton was appointed Rector of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Dunedin, FL in May 2021. A native of Atlanta, she joined the parish with her husband Steven Smith on May 17, 2021.
Rev. Cindy’s ministry is to bring the needs of the world to the attention of the church, and the resources of the church to the needs of the world. Cindy also coordinates pastoral care, trains people who serve at the services, facilitates Bible studies, and leads in so many other ways.
Joining COGS for May – October of 2024, Miranda Harrison-Quillin is discerning Ordination to the Priesthood in the Diocese of Southwest Florida. She earned a Master of Divinity from Duke University and completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education at Tampa General Hospital. Miranda has previously served at St. John’s Tampa as Associate Chaplain and Director of Family ministries.
Thomas D. Huffman holds both the Bachelor of Music and the Master of Music degrees from West Virginia University and is a Past Dean of the Clearwater Chapter of the American Guild of Organists where he also currently serves as the chair of the Scholarship Committee and produces the monthly Chapter newsletter.
Cristina Cruz LeFebvre joined Good Shepherd as the new parish administrator in March 2024. A Florida native, Cristi grew up in Miami, attended Sewanee and worked in university admissions and financial aid.
Carey coordinates our Nursery, Sunday School for children, Youth Group for teens, and participates in planning adult Spiritual Formation programming. She is also our webmaster, manager of COGS’s virtual platforms, and director of our live-streaming services on Sundays.
